GOD BLESS AMERICA

The familiar phrase above immediately brings to mind the words and music by Irving Berlin, copyrighted in 1938. It has been immortalized by well-known singer, Kate Smith, but sung by many others on many occasions, but especially with PATRIOTIC intent. It has galvanized the American spirit and united the American people.

A book by that title as well as sheet music are available. The song is listed among the favorite songs of the Boy Scouts of America, on their website. The phrase is seen on automobile bumpers and in some of the most unusual places. The whole idea of asking God to bless our nation has been inspiring to most Americans.
The text, aided by a "catchy" tune, acknowledges the existence of God. It indicates a need for blessings from God. And justly so.

You would think that our fellow-Americans would be willing to adjust their conduct, follow the divinely revealed will of the eternal God and prepare to receive His bountiful blessings. There is a limitless opportunity to receive what we all need from the Lord. A very important point here is that God can only dispense those blessings through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is written in ancient manuscripts that "all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him" (NKJV).

Millions of Americans fall into the category of expecting God's blessings, only if they are prepared to receive them. However, other people in the position of leadership in the U.S.A., whether it be politicans, the professional elite, those in entertainment or even leaders of certain so-called "Christian" churches and seminaries, are leading millions down the wrong path by their godless actions. As an example, in Atlanta, there are seminary professors who call themselves, "Christian atheists." That is an oxymoron of the worse kind.

How can we expect God to help people when they live according to the ways of God's archenemy, the Devil? Many complain about the numerous catastrophes in recent years, volcanos, floods, hurricanes, famine, to name a few and blame God for allowing them. Do we deserve any better?
OF COURSE NOT!

Most of the sins and transgressions condemned by God are being mindlessly practiced with no regrets: adultery, fornication, homosexuality, dishonesty, corruption, addiction to substances, murder, extortioners and idolatry, to name a few.

LET US NOT BE HYPOCRITES ASKING GOD FOR BLESSINGS WHEN WE ARE FLAUNTING SIN IN HIS FACE. Let us no longer sing the song or say the words until we are ready to repent and seek the Lord's face through Jesus Christ. PFFlyer

DO YOU HAVE AN OPINION?

Deep thought and reflective thinking are more necessary today than ever before. Some people just drift along, go with the flow, while others are keen and alert to follow current events and their ultimate influence in various realms.

A new and significant book has hit the bookshelves, entitled, "DO AS I SAY (NOT AS I DO)", written by the scholarly Peter Schweizer and his wife Rochelle and published by Doubleday.

Some say the "book shines a light on liberal hpocrisy." In fact, a book subtitle is "Profiles in Liberal Hypocrisy." That does not tell the whole story. Reactions to this book, written by a fellow Floridian, will be mixed because it underlines a constant hot topic: the controversy between CONSERVATIVES and LIBERALS.

Former successful literary productions by this capable couple include: "The Mouse Betrayed", a portrayal of the inner workings of Disney, Inc. and it was far from complimentary. Schweizer also wrote: "Reagan's War: The Epic Story of His Struggle and Final Triumph over Communism" and "The Bushes:Portrait of a Dynasty." All of his books are a MUST read. PFFlyer

BLOOD AND LOVE

I just came across a blog entitled as you see it above. There were many other blogs that referred to those two particular subjects.
Who wants to know about BLOOD AND LOVE? Do you really? And by that, I mean the blood that counts and the love that dominates. Have you ever heard of such a combination? They are the most powerful combination of elements, one concrete and one abstract that you will ever find.

Ancient manuscripts indicate that the life of the flesh is in the blood. And indeed, it is. With no blood, there is no life. The most valuable use of blood was when Jesus Christ shed His precious blood at Calvary almost 2,000 years ago. His offering and death had been foretold and explained many centuries before.

WELL, WHAT IS SO IMPORTANT ABOUT JESUS' BLOOD? Since the life of the flesh is in the blood and since He was at the origin of life when He and the Father created the universe and all life, the fact that Jesus died, being the only begotten Son, He was able to pay a ransom for the sins of all those who would believe in Him and ask for salvation.

LOVE - The other half of the proposition was manifested as never before by the Father when He was willing for His Son, God and Man, to suffer on the Cross outside the gates of ancient Jerusalem.

Have you taken advantage of this powerful BLOOD and that overpowering LOVE? If not, and if you want to find out how, leave a comment on this section of the blog. PFFlyer
